TERM 4 already!! We hope those of you who got away over the holiday break had a great time.😀 We had low numbers here, which allows more time to extend some of those one on one projects and relationships.

Please take time with your calendar to note down all the events and details coming up over this last and busy term for 2023.Ka Kite, Denise Sanne (Head Teacher,) Alison Sim, Nicky Horrell, Sally Beattie, Fiona Dawson, and Vanessa Thomas, (Teachers,) and Manja (Administrator)

KidzWay Cultural Festival & Afternoon Tea

Wednesday 25th October at 1pm here at KidzWay. Let’s celebrate our cultural diversity. Wear your national dress, bring something special e.g. a song or information about your country as well as food from your culture to share for afternoon tea. (For allergy reasons, please bring a written list of the ingredients you use and bear in mind any potential choking hazards.) Thank you!

Pet Day – Tuesday 7th November

This is an annual event which the children really enjoy! Please be here with your children’s pets by 9:30am - the event usually runs until 11:00 am. If you are bringing a dog, please ensure it has a lead and can be tied up, and that it has been wormed and dosed for hydatids at least two days before the day. A Prattley pen will be available to contain lambs, and the fence-line provides space for any other animals that may need to be tied up. We are all looking forward to seeing the pets and soft toys (if you don’t have a pet.) There will be a Big Dig in the sandpit, ‘dress your pet’- time, a Grand Parade and prize giving. This is followed by a shared morning tea. (For allergy reasons, please bring a written list of the ingredients you use and bear in mind any potential choking hazards.) Thank you!

Friendly Reminders

  • Please send in your family selfies to admin@kidzway.co.nz, so Manja can print these off for you. Your children love to show off their family photos. We have 50 families. Let's fill our wall :)

  • Term 4 is here and it's time for applying sunblock and wearing wide brimmed hats. PLEASE read our SUNSCREEN PROTECTION Procedure attached to this newsletter.

  • Please supply your child with a named sunhat, which you take home and put out on their hook each day. (Shared hats could spread head lice and are discouraged. KidzWay hats are only used if your child’s hat is forgotten!)

  • Thank You to those who name drink bottles, lunch boxes, bags, footwear and clothing. It is so helpful to teachers when they are trying to help your child find their items.

  • Regarding the cancellation of the Parenting ToolBox course. Please pop a note into the jar by the sign-in sheet in the foyer telling us which month would suit you best to attend this in 2024. Or would you like it if this was delivered in a different format such as via Zoom?
