Our annual Quiz and only fundraiser for the year will be held on Monday 26 October (Labour Day) - apologies for the late notice. We would love to see as many teams from KidzWay families as possible.

Non-perishable donations for the raffles can be left at KidzWay by Friday afternoon, or raffle items can be taken on the night to the Quiz. Thanks for your support; funds raised will go towards resources for the children.

ERO Visit

We are looking forward to welcoming ERO (the Education Review Office) from Tuesday-Thursday next week, when they will be conducting their external evaluation of KidzWay. Please say Hi to Lee Rowe and Margaret Whitford if you see them in the Centre.

Pet Day - Wednesday 11 November

This is an annual event which the children really enjoy - all KidzWay families and their pets are welcome! Please be here with your children’s pets by 9:30am (the event usually runs until 11:00am). If you are bringing a dog, please ensure it has a lead and can be tied up, and that it has been wormed and dosed for hydatids at least 2 days before the day. A Prattley pen will be available to contain lambs, and the fence-line provides space for any other animals that may need to be tied up. We are all looking forward to seeing the pets and soft toys (if you don’t have a pet). There will also be a Grand Parade, Big Dig and shared morning tea. Please bring a plate to share – thank you. :)

Sun Safety

  • Term Four marks the arrival of warmer weather and an increase in UV index, and so it is time to begin our applications of sunscreen. We use “Oasis Sun” SPF30 which we have found is great for sensitive skin. Kath will be adding the twice-yearly charge of $2.00 to your account soon to cover the cost of providing this to you.

  • PLEASE, PLEASE ensure you are sending a named sun hat along with your child each day and placing this on their hook on arrival in the mornings, then taking it home each night.

Friendly Reminders

  • KidzWay Opening Time - please be aware that KidzWay does not officially open for the day until 8:30am. Teachers use the time before this to set up for the day. Thanks.

  • Immunisation Records - if your child has recently had their four-year-old immunisations, please bring your Plunket book to KidzWay so we can update our immunisation records. Thank you.
